But again I'd be curious to see if you can reproduce that event again. Reflect build 2089 is now available to download.I don't think Event Viewer would have any helpful information after a restore.

Reflect build 2089 was temporarily pulled whilst assessing a driver signing issue. Why did you pull build 2089 that contains this fix and revert back to build 2079 in the download agent and release notes on the trial download page? This is now fixed and the next release of Reflect will repair the ACL's on the registry keys.īy Keith Weisshar - 23 March 2017 8:50 AM We have identified the cause of the issue with the ACL being incorrect on the registry settings. My system is Win10 Professional 圆4, 1607 build 14393.693 (ie Curerent Build, up to date).

Obviously I can't tell if the installer intended to set an ACL on that key and failed (and it was not spotted as it faied 'functionality safe' - allowing any access), or it accidentially disabled the inheritence when creating at key - that's one for the devs. Sddl : O:BAG:SYD :PAI(A CIIO GA CO)(A CIIO GA SY)(A KA SY)(A CIIO GA BA)(A KA BA)(A CIIO GR BU)(A KR BU)(A KR AC)(A CIIO GR AC) Path : \Registry::HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SoftwareĪPPLICATION PACKAGE AUTHORITY\ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES Allow ReadKeyĪPPLICATION PACKAGE AUTHORITY\ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES Allow -2147483648 PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> get-acl hklm:\Software |fl It appeared that Inheritance for that key had been disabled and no replacement ACL successfully set. The object’s owner should assign permissions as soon as possible. Warning: this is a potential security risk because anyone who can access this object can take ownership of it. No permissions have been assigned for this object. Viewing the standard or advanced permissions dialog for \\HKLM\Software\Macrium shows the follwing warning where the ACL should be displayed. I also looked at the MacriumService key under sevices and found that 'normal'. I found odd settings on \\HKLM\Software\Macrium, but unlike the OP, on my system '\Software\Macrium' under HKCU or HKU\.Default seemed 'normal' (nothing obvoiusly out of place).

I'm not experiencing any functionality issues on my own installation, but I did take look at my own system after reading this thread. There does seem to be an issue with the ACLs set on some keys. I think it's worth asking your devs to look into this a little deeper. Thanks for getting back and letting us know.

It wasn't gone, I performed a full uninstall of Macrium Reflect, rebooted and used regedit and still found leftovers in these two locations, I had to manually change permissions and take ownership for these two registry locations and then delete these keys. REMOVE MACRIUM REFLECT TRIAL FROM REGISTRY WINDOWS 10
How do I resolve this issue? I'm running Windows 10 Home 64-bit. When I check the permissions it says No permissions have been assigned. I tried to delete the Macrium key from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Macrium and HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Macrium and I get Error Deleting Key in both locations. I did a full uninstall of Macrium Reflect with all 4 boxes checked during uninstall but it doesn't remove all the Macrium related registry keys.
